Burdwan Unitech Technical Institute (BUT Institute)

Message from the Director of (B.U.T.I)

MD. FARIDUL ZAMAN
(Honorable Founder & CMD of BUT Institute)

Thank you for visiting our website to learn more about the BUTI. The School is an exciting place to study, where you will have the opportunity to experience and develop an understanding of the latest technologies as you prepare for a career in applied engineering.

A point of pride for the School is our faculty members, who have worked extensively in industry and who provide a focused, practical education that emphasizes significant laboratory experiences for our students.

We offers broad educational opportunities and career paths:
Mechanical Engineering Technology, Surveying Engineering, Computer courses (Technical & Nontechnical) and Distance Courses.

As part of our Senior Design experience, undergraduate students have the opportunity to participate in exciting projects.

The Integrated Geospatial Technology program educates our students in the science and technology necessary to acquire and process geospatial data by employing surveying, geodetic science, photogrammetry, cartography, and mapping. Our students become expert users of all the new, sophisticated technology in satellite systems, remote sensing capabilities, precision surveying instruments, computing, data networks, laser systems, radar, and sonar. In the Medical Informatics program, our students focus on the intersection of information science, computer science, and health care. The program was created to provide students with the necessary understanding of the resources, devices and methods required to optimize and provide security during the acquisition, storage, and retrieval.

We continuously challenge our students, helping them gain the knowledge and skills necessary to begin a rewarding career and to become a lifelong learner. There is only one certainty in technology: continuous change. We prepare our students to embrace this change and to become leaders in the design and implementation of new technology that will benefit all of us as we work together to fashion a prosperous and sustainable global community. We hope you will consider joining the (Burdwan Unitech Technical Institute) BUTI.

School Mission

Our mission is to be a cohesive force linking:

Students:
Applications-oriented and recognized for contributions to their employers.

Industry
Demand for a technologically advanced workforce.

Faculty
Recognized for teaching, scholarship, service and business/industrial experience

School Vision

The BUTI will be recognized for advancing technological literacy through excellence in teaching and professional engagement, and preparing students to be productive citizens, leaders and innovators in a global society.

Academic programs in the BUTI are designed to prepare technical and/or management oriented professionals for employment in business, industry, education, and government.

These programs, which usually include a significant hands-on laboratory component, prepare students for practical design and production work rather than for jobs that require more theoretical and scientific knowledge.

The hallmark of an education in the BUTI is the practical application of technical knowledge—a hands-on education that prepares students to address and solve the problems of our global society.

Technology is defined as the process by which human beings fashion tools and machines to increase their understanding and control of the material environment. The mathematical and science foundations of technology programs prepare graduates to apply a systematic technique, method or approach to solve problems while working on the front lines of the technological revolution.

Technology program graduates are involved with the design, installation, management, operation, and maintenance of complex technological systems.

As a result of their broad education, skills in working with people, and technical problem solving abilities, technology program graduates are often the very valuable go-to person in many organizations. The industries employing technology program graduates are extremely diverse, ranging from construction to health care, from small family owned businesses to international corporations.

Employers regard technology program graduates as having skills between those of a technician and an engineer. Graduates of four-year technology programs often get jobs similar to those obtained by graduates with a bachelor’s degree in engineering. Those who advance the fastest and are most successful are those who have acquired the proper academic training to meet the increasing complexity of industry.
